A fence is only as good as the posts holding it up. We set them deep and square, then build the rest of the fence off that.

We handle fence installation for homeowners closing in a backyard, rural property owners running a fence line across acreage, and anyone whose old fence has finally given out. Wood privacy fencing between houses and around backyards is proven work for us, from St. Joseph down through the Northland towns and into the Kansas City metro.

Some fence jobs start as something else. A yard that needs grading before a fence line makes sense, or a tree that came down across an old fence in a storm. Since the same crew handles excavation and tree work, we can clear or grade a fence line first and then put the fence up, instead of you juggling separate contractors for each step.

How a fence job works

  1. Call or textTell us roughly how much fence you need and where, or send a photo of the yard or the old fence coming out.
  2. We walk the lineWe come out to walk the property line with you, check the grade, and talk through gates or corners that need extra attention.
  3. You get a priceA quote for the full run, including any clearing or grading the line needs first.
  4. Posts, then fencePosts get set first and given time to hold before the rest of the fence goes up on them.
  5. Old fence and debris hauled offAny old fence material, brush, or dirt from setting posts gets cleared before we're done.

What affects a fence price

Length is the main driver: a short backyard run costs less than a full property-line fence on acreage. Terrain matters almost as much. A flat, cleared yard goes fast, while a sloped lot, tree roots, or ground that needs grading first adds time before a single post goes in. Gates add cost too, more for a wide drive gate than a walk gate, since a drive gate needs sturdier posts and hardware to carry its own weight without sagging.

Pulling out an old fence before the new one goes up is its own step, and how much material there is to haul off depends on what's already there. If a fence line is overgrown with brush or has a downed tree across it, clearing that first is part of the quote, not a surprise add-on once we're out there.

Yes. Pulling the old fence and hauling it off is part of the job, priced along with the new fence when we quote it.

Do you fence acreage or just house lots?

Both. We run shorter backyard fences and longer property-line fences on rural lots, including runs that need clearing first.

Can you clear brush or a downed tree off my fence line before building?

Yes, that's work our crew already does, so we can clear the line and set the fence in the same job.

Do you build gates into the fence?

Yes, walk gates and wider drive gates both, built and hung as part of the fence run.

How do you figure out where the property line actually is?

The property line is yours to confirm. If you have a survey or corner pins, show us and we'll set the fence there. We'll also walk the yard with you and look at any existing markers or fence remnants.
