Kansas City, MO
Kansas City is the big one in our area, and we work more than one side of it. The Northland, north of the Missouri River, is closest to our base in St. Joseph. We also head south of the river for jobs that call for it.
A lot of what makes Kansas City different from the smaller towns around it is the age and density of the lots. Older neighborhoods mean mature trees, established landscaping, and yards that are already finished, not bare dirt waiting on a new build. Digging a trench for power or water through a yard like that takes more care than an open field would, and that's work we do carefully.
The size of the city also means a wider range of housing than the smaller towns around it, from older bungalows close to the urban core out to newer subdivisions further from downtown. A job in one part of town can look very different from a job a few miles away, which is part of why we ask questions up front about the property, the age of the house, and what's already been done to it before we ever price the work.

Do you work south of the river, or only the Northland?
Both. The Northland is closest to us, but we take jobs south of the river as well.
Can you trench through an established yard without tearing it up?
Yes, that's a normal part of trenching work on older lots. We work carefully around existing landscaping and restore the area once the line is in.
What if a storm damaged my roof and a tree at the same time?
We can look at both in one visit. The cleanup and the roof repair can happen as part of the same job.
Is there a size of job that's too small to call about?

Do you handle both the dirt work and the finish work on the same job?
Yes. Grading, trenching, framing, roofing and remodeling all run through the same crew, so a job doesn't have to change hands partway through.
